Regional Equity Networks Webinar
Thursday, September 5, 2013
10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Pacific (1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Eastern)
Equity networks are emerging as a successful strategy to influence policies and investments, and create new pathways to connect people to opportunity. But winning policies and ensuring effective, accountable implementation is challenging work. Successful equity networks focus on building and sustaining strategic alliances with a broad range of governmental, private sector, and institutional partners. They stay true to authentic advocacy that reflects the real needs of those who are negatively impacted by the racial and social constructs that currently exist in our nation.
We will cover how to thoughtfully develop memberships, and how to build nontraditional partnerships that can result in greater advocacy capacity for your regional alliances through these networks.
