Regional Community Technology Conference

Posted by on July 1, 2005

If you haven’t heard already, the Philadelphia Regional Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14. Co-hosted by N-TEN, The Arts and Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, NPower PA, and Teaming for Technology at the United Way of SouthEastern Pennsylvania, this event gives you the unique opportunity to meet your colleagues and peers, share your knowledge, and learn about the latest innovations in the field.

The theme for this year’s conference is:

The Knowledge Factor: Technology to find and analyze what you need to know to succeed

Great things happen when knowledge meets vision. As nonprofits, we’re continually focused on the visions of our organizations; ending hunger in our communities, saving wetlands, or curing an illness. But how many of us are using the knowledge we acquire daily – who knows who in our communities, the number of people our organization served last month, the number of times our latest report was downloaded from our site – to fuel that vision and turn it into a reality? You know what you want to see happen in your world, but without the right knowledge, you just can’t get there. The challenge: defining what knowledge matters, building and maintaining the systems to manage it, and figuring out what to make of it all once it starts pouring in.

If you’re interested in helping to shape the agenda, please take 10 minutes of your day to complete an online survey at:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=98361106545.

The survey will allow you to:

<> Vote for sessions you’d like to attend;
<> Volunteer to speak at a session;
<> Tell us what we missed. Suggest a session of your own!

Don’t miss this one of a kind event, where practical and realistic sessions will help you sift through the confusing world of Knowledge Management and make sense of what matters. We’ll help you define the most important pieces of knowledge to capture at your organizations. We’ll shed light on the myriad accessible and affordable tech tools on the market to manage that knowledge. And, we’ll help you understand how to analyze the data you’ve got and make solid choices for your organization.
