Gutted Homes, Gutted Lives: Reflections on a week on the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Wednesday, February 22nd
5:00 – 6:00 pm
Huntsman Hall 250
38th & Walnut Sts
All are welcome
14 University community members spent one week of Winter Break on the Mississippi Gulf Coast doing relief work in the after-math of Hurricane Katrina. On Wednesday, February 22 at 5:00 pm in Huntsman 250, they will describe what they saw and how they helped. Most importantly, they will tell the stories of the people they met, those affected by the storm and determined to continue to call the Gulf Coast home. There will be an opportunity for questions and also for a moderated discussion about what next steps people can take.
