Module 1—Computer Foundations
Wed, November 15th + Thurs, Nov 16th | 10am-12pm
What is a computer? In this 2-day workshop, you will review the basic parts of the computer and learn how computers can be a tool in meeting your goals.
[Getting Around the Computer] Week 2
Tuesday, Nov 21st + Wed, Nov 22nd| 10am-12pm
In this 2-day workshop, you will learn how a computer is organized and practice moving around the computer—with a mouse, using the keyboard, finding the start menu, and how to get back where you started.
[Web Browsing] Week 3
Wed, Nov 29th + Thurs, Nov 30th | 10am-12pm
In this 2-day workshop, you will learn about different web browsers, websites, URLs, and searching. You will be introduced to social media and discuss internet privacy.
[Email] Week 4
Wed, Dec 6th + Thurs, Dec 7th | 10am-12pm
In this 2-day workshop, you will have the opportunity to set up a new email account or organize an existing account. You will learn about email signatures, review best email practices, and use attachments.
