College Possible is a growing nonprofit dedicated to coaching low-income students to and through college, breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering our workforce. Our rigorously tested model earns top-of-field results and students served are 4 times more likely to become college graduates then their peers. A 2011 Harvard study found that the program more than doubles a student’s chance of enrolling in a four-year college. College Possible has a budget of nearly $20 million, over 115 full-time, regular employees and more than 260 AmeriCorps and VISTA service members. During the 2016-2017 school year, we will serve 30,000 students in 62 partner high schools and over 350 college campuses.
Your Role as Recruitment and Operations Specialist: The Recruitment and Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of the site including bookkeeping, human resources, office management/purchasing, information technology, and project management, and serves as the local staff lead on AmeriCorps recruitment, hiring, training and management. This position may directly supervise AmeriCorps members.
