Recruiting High School Students for Minds Matter Philadelphia

Minds Matter Philadelphia is a local non-profit organization that supports motivated high school students who attend nearly 20 different Philadelphia High Schools as they prepare for college during their Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. MMP does this through:
- Mentorship–Each participating student is paired with two mentors that support their college application, financial aid and scholarship application processes and provides general guidance through their high school years
- Structured Academic Support–Students are supported with free academic support and standardized test prep to support with strong college applications and academic skillsets
- Fully Funded Summer Programs–After their sophomore and junior year students attend rigorous summer programs to further support with college readiness
Minds Matter Philadelphia is looking for students to join the Sophomore and Freshman cohorts this school year. Here’s how you can help:

Know motivated, high achieving, collegebound rising Sophomores and want to encourage them to apply? Share information about Minds Matter Philadelphia and encourage them to submit an application for the SY25-26 cohort. Strong candidates will:
- have at least a 3.0 GPA,
- qualify for free/reduced price lunch based on family income and
- will be committed to attending Saturday sessions consistently during the school year.
