Chester County Institute hosts recovery conference in Frazer
The Chester County Institute is hosting a Recovery, Wellness, and Innovation in Behavioral Health Services conference on Thursday August 23, 2018 at the Sheraton Great Valley Hotel, 707 East Lancaster Avenue, Frazer, PA 19355.
This conference is intended for individuals in recovery, their families, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, certified peer specialists, and others interested in behavioral health services. It will examine and enhance discussion on the opioid crisis and how it compares to other types of substance use treatments. In addition, the conference will highlight:
• Suicide prevention
• Best practices using medications in treatment settings for substance use
• Overdose prevention strategies in the community
