Posted by Portland State University on June 23, 2026
WHAT: Reading Community-Engaged Learning is a free, monthly online discussion exploring recent scholarship related to service-learning & community engagement (SLCE). This month we’ll read & discuss this recent article from the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU) journal, Metropolitan Universities.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 24, 2026, 1:30-2:30 PM PST
WHO: Harold McNaron, Teaching, Learning and Engagement Associate, Office of Academic Innovation, Portland State University will facilitate. Interested community partners, staff, faculty, students & others are welcome.
WHY: Too much brilliant SLCE scholarship goes unnoticed. Let’s read 1-2 articles/month & explore strategies for success in our respective contexts.
