Raise the Bar: Engage Every Student Virtual Summit – Jul 13

The U.S. Department of Education invites you to join the Raise the Bar: Engage Every Student Summit! Register now to hear how cities, districts, and states are investing in afterschool and summer, and get tips for programming, sustainability, and partnerships.

Engage Every Student was launched by U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona on July 14, 2022 in partnership with the Afterschool Alliance, AASA – the School Superintendents Association, the National League of Cities, the National Summer Learning Association, and the National Comprehensive Center at Westat. The initiative is a bold call to action to provide high-quality out-of-school time learning opportunities for every child who wants to participate. Through the American Rescue Plan, school districts, cities, and states have funding and an unprecedented opportunity to partner with high-quality expanded learning programs to support students’ well-being and academic growth. Registration is now open for the Raise the Bar: Engage Every Student Summit scheduled for July 13 in Washington, D.C. The purpose of the summit is to commemorate the launch of the Engage Every Student initiative and to celebrate the strides that were made at the national, state and local levels in year one of the initiative to ensure that all students have opportunities to engage in high-quality afterschool and summer learning programs. The Summit will convene youth, state and local school district leaders, state and city elected officials, afterschool and summer learning program providers and advocates, technical assistance organizations and community-based organizations. Additionally, the summit will provide attendees with an array of opportunities for learning, exploration, and networking.
