American Hospital Association Invites Applications for Quest for Quality Prize
Nearly five thousand hospitals, healthcare systems, networks, other providers of care and some forty-three thousand individual members have come together to make the American Hospital Association (AHA) the leading national organization representing and serving all types of hospitals, healthcare networks, and their patients and communities.
AHA currently is inviting applications for its Quest for Quality Prize. Through the program, a $75,000 prize is presented annually in recognition of the innovation and leadership of a hospital or system in providing and improving quality health care and advancing health in communities. Quest for Quality honorees inspire other hospitals and systems with the story of their journey, their accomplishments, and their aspirations
Hospitals and health systems eligible to apply for the award include those committed to advancing health by providing access to safe, quality, patient- and family-centered care that promotes individual and community well-being; those partnering with other community organizations and agencies to improve the health status of their communities; those developing new models of care, services, and collaboration; and those partnering with patients and families to design the patient care experience and engage them fully in their health.
In 2020, the Quest for Quality prize will award $75,000 to a single winner, $12,500 to up to two finalists, and up to four citations of merit.
All health systems and hospitals in the United States are eligible to apply. (Note: the health system application is different from the hospital application; AHA asks that applicants be sure they’re using the appropriate application.)
See the American Hospital Association website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
Deadline: September 30, 2019
