A Call to Social Leaders Sixty and Over
In collaboration with the Atlantic Philanthropies and the John Templeton Foundation, Civic Ventures recently announced their call for nominations for the first annual Purpose Prize. Five $100,000 cash "investments" will be awarded to individuals who are at least 60 years old, whose work has made significant social impacts–either locally or nationally, and whose future work could greatly benefit from the acknowledgement and support of this award. The Purpose Prize recognizes outstanding social leaders who began their work after the age of 50 and who plan to continue and expand their work in the future. The prize winners will also have additional access to funding opportunities via the new Fund for Innovation. Nominations are due by February 28, 2006, so visit the Purpose Prize website today to read more about this great opportunity.
