>> The Public Welfare Foundation is accepting letters of inquiry from groups that provide services to disadvantaged populations and those working for lasting improvements in meeting basic human needs. The foundation makes grants in the areas of community and economic development, criminal justice, disadvantaged elderly and youth, environment, health, human rights, population, and technology assistance. Most grants range from $25,000 to $50,000 and may be for general operating support or a specific project. The application deadline is open.
