Public School Notebook Anniversary Event
Posted by on April 04, 2011
Every year since 2004, hundreds of Notebook friends and supporters have come together in June to celebrate the accomplishments of another year and the victories we have won … and to reenergize ourselves for the work ahead to ensure quality and equality in our schools. Our spring bash is a great party that also provides vital support for the continuation of the Notebook’s work.
This year’s “Turning the Page for Change” celebration will be on June 7 from 4:30 – 7 p.m. at University of the Arts. Please mark your calendars now!
As always, we can promise you lots of good food and drink, fun and conversation, music and inspiration, and our annual student journalism awards. So plan on joining us!
It’s a particularly apt time to be celebrating our work. The Notebook’s website — an experiment in participatory, interactive journalism — has grown by leaps and bounds in recent months, bringing thousands of new eyes and voices to the table. We’re growing our knowledge and growing our connections.
And we’re marking 17 years that the Notebook has brought critical information, insight, and passion to the efforts to serve our children. With your help, we can do it for at least 17 more!
