Public Health Institute for Leadership & Advocacy (PHILA) Pre-College Program, Drexel – Jun 19
Posted by Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health on April 14, 2026
Applications are open for Drexel Dornsife’s Public Health Institute for Leadership & Advocacy (PHILA) Pre-College Program (formerly the Public Health Summer Institute).
PHILA is a one-week, immersive program in July for high school juniors and seniors who want to explore public health and prepare for college-level learning. Students engage in hands-on activities, site visits across Philadelphia, and collaborative projects while learning about real-world public health topics such as epidemiology, environmental health, advocacy, policy, and health administration.
Now in its sixth year, PHILA helps students develop real solutions to real public health challenges while connecting with Drexel faculty and peers who share an interest in health, community, and social impact.
Who should apply: Motivated high school juniors and seniors interested in health, science, social justice, community work, or leadership.
Rolling admissions are open through Friday, June 19, 2026.
