Public Education Network Annual Conference
November 16-18, 2008, San Francisco, CA
Each year, PEN gathers LEF executive directors, staff, Board members, and a number of their community partners in a substantive annual meeting that serves as a three-day learning community, a forum for PEN members to learn from each other, position their work with key national audiences, and stimulate new thinking on the issues affecting public education. The annual conference is viewed by PEN members as the most important learning opportunity of the year for them as individual organizations and as a network. Members have expressed how the conference opens up new ideas, grounds their work, connects them to each other, and re-energizes them to pursue their missions as advocates for quality public education.
