Public Education In Montgomery County
Changes need to be made to preserve the great reputation of Montgomery County schools. In the first of a series of reports, Public Citizens for Children and Youth found that while Montgomery County has the highest graduation rate in southeastern Pennsylvania, there are still 15,700 students who are not reading or doing math at grade level. Only half of children have the option of full-day kindergarten, and there are major gaps in the per classroom funding gap among districts in the county.
