Dear Friends,
The Philadelphia Entrepreneurship Program is growing by leaps and bounds this year, and we are adding several new courses to our entrepreneurship training program. As a result, PEP has several part-time positions available for instructors and workshop facilitators If you or anyone you know is interested in training and empowering aspiring entrepreneurs, please feel free to pass this information along. Please note that while all of these trainings will be offered in both English and Spanish, there are a few for which we are currently hiring only Spanish language facilitators. The details for the trainings and available positions are as follows:
Contractor Training Specialist
Description: A five-part workshop series to teach cost estimating, project budgeting, contract administration, procurement & certification, etc. to emerging contractors. Workshop series will be developed by the training specialist. Specialist will also provide one-on-one consulting to contracting clients in the program, and will help organize and facilitate bi-monthly networking meetings for enrolled clients.
Position Available: Spanish-language only
Dates: May & October 2007
Graphic Design
Description: A four-part workshop series to teach basic graphic design using Microsoft Publisher. Clients will create a business card for their business, and will receive 250 business cards upon completion of the class.
Positions Available: English and Spanish language facilitators
Dates: July & November 2007
QuickBooks
Description: A five-part workshop series to teach QuickBooks Simple Start? for emerging entrepreneurs to manage their business finances. Clients in the course will receive a QuickBooks Simple Start? software license for use in their business upon completion of the course.
Positions Available: English and Spanish language facilitators
Dates: May & September 2007
E-Commerce & Graphic Design
Description: A two-part workshop series on e-commerce. Clients will learn how to determine whether e-commerce is right for their business, and how to use the internet to boost sales and marketing.
Positions Available: Spanish language facilitator only
Dates: April, August, & November 2007
