Soccer coaches needed in Camden
The Boys & Girls Club of Camden County is seeking paid part-time soccer coaches to instruct youth in its Soccer for Success program in Camden City schools and community centers.
Coaches will follow the Soccer for Success curriculum to engage kids in physical activity while learning about nutrition and healthy living initiatives while playing games and activities centered around the sport of soccer.
Coaches will set up and break down equipment, instruct activities and supervise games. They will maintain a safe environment and mentor kids on being good sports and trying their best. The program is non-competitive and highlights being active and healthy versus skills development. Coaches will be responsible for recording data on participants including attendance, BMI, Pacer Endurance Test, as well as lifestyle surveys.
At some sites coaches will be responsible for the escorting of children from schools to play area. Hours range from 2:30-6:30pm Monday-Friday. Training on the curriculum for Coaches will begin in late August. Positions are part-time seasonal and do not offer benefits.
