Pt-Time Professional Development Coordinator, Workshop School
Posted by Workshop School on July 14, 2014
The Workshop School is a new, highly innovative, project-based public high school located in West Philadelphia. We are currently seeking a part-time staff member to coordinate a new professional development initiative, funded by the William Penn Foundation, on which we are the lead partner. The initiative, called Design-based Professional Development, involves five high schools and is based on the idea that professional learning is a product of ongoing refining and improvement of school design, process, routines and tools.
The Professional Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the five schools implementing this project. This will include ensuring schools have the resources they need to design and implement PD, facilitating communication across schools, and assisting school leaders in documenting and sharing outcomes and lessons learned through the project. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Experience working in urban high schools is preferred, as is experience and/or training in research and evaluation.
Interested candidates should contact Matthew Riggan at matthew.riggan@workshopschool.org. Please include a copy of your resume and a cover letter briefly explaining your interest and qualifications for the position.
