Operations Manager Needed
Zia, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization combatting food insecurity among Philadelphia’s school children by providing nutritious meal kits to their families on a weekly basis.

Job Description
The Operations Manager reports to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. The Operations Manager has responsibility for the Virtual Assistant, Pantry Manager and all volunteer staff

Essential Responsibilities
• Supervising weekly operations of picking recipes, ordering food, assigning volunteers, order-taking, delivery and inventory updates
• Attracting and coordinating volunteers to staff all day-to-day operations (4-5 teams of delivery drivers, 1 weekly team of 3 for pantry packing)
• Maintain relationship with local school administration to attract and maintain integrity of member families’ participation in Zia’s programs
• Maintain relationship with partner organizations
• Coordinate social media and marketing efforts
• Maintain and expand relationships with donors and potential donors
• Field all contact with Zia from interested volunteers, donors and staff
• Organizational skills are a must, including the ability to multitask
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to keep a variety of people/organizations coordinated and informed
• Ensure a culture of respect and understanding regarding the member families Zia serves to build trust and the ability to impart this culture among volunteers and partner organizations

Working Conditions
1. Part time position, 16-20 hours a week
2. Majority of position is remote after first month of orientation
3. Availability to be on site in Philadelphia for Produce/Grocery Pickup on Friday mornings and Pantry Packing/Delivery on Saturday mornings if volunteer shortage
4. Occasional lifting of produce boxes, groceries, loading into cars for delivery, when volunteer shortage
5. Tracking of time required
