United Communities Southeast Philadelphia is looking for a part-time Housing Counselor. Successful candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Human Services, Business or a related field of study with experience in housing counseling, real estate, lending or related area. Certification by Homeownership Counseling and Foreclosure Prevention/Intervention Counseling is required within six months of hiring. Must be self-motivated with a strong commitment to aiding families and individuals towards self-sufficiency; familiarity with city, state and federal housing programs; and ability to do outreach to diverse communities. The Housing Counselor will conduct door-to-door outreach to potential foreclosure homeowners and first time buyer individuals; complete data entry for all housing client intake; provide intake assessments and schedule appointments for clients with a housing counselor for one-on-one counseling sessions. Additional duties include assisting other housing counselors with providing housing counseling workshops. Send cover letter and resume to [email protected].
