Carol Rogers: “Protecting Women’s Health”

Please join the Board of Directors of The New Century Trust for a talk by Carol Rogers, a health educator at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and 2009-2010 Bryn Mawr College Hepburn Fellow. Carol will talk about her 29 year career in the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, focusing both on women’s reproductive health issues (STDs and the female condom) as well as on more general health concerns of women and girls.
Carol will also talk about her participation in the successful campaign to save the City’s eight comprehensive health care centers and the implications of this struggle for the current crisis facing our nation’s health care system.
The New Century Trust Building is a national historic landmark in women’s history.
When: Thursday, November 19, 2009
Doors open at 5:30 pm for light refreshments with the presentation to follow at 6:00 pm.
