*Proposal Reviewers Sought for Community Academic Partnership Program – September 14, 2005 Deadline.
The Wisconsin Partnership Program is now seeking individuals with expertise in public and community health, community-academic partnerships, and community-based research to serve as proposal reviewers for the Community-Academic Partnership Fund. The funding for this program resulted from the conversion of Blue Cross and Blue Shield United of Wisconsin to a for-profit entity.
To apply for the Community-Academic Partnership Fund, community organizations must have a University of Wisconsin Medical School partner who will be part of their proposed project. Proposals must address at least one of the three goals, 11 health priorities, or five system priorities described in the state health plan, Healthiest Wisconsin 2010. To learn more about the Community-Academic Partnership Program, visit our website, http://www.med.wisc.edu/bluecross.
Reviewers are expected to have demonstrated experience in community and public health and significant experience with reviewing grant proposals. The selected reviewers will have a unique opportunity to apply their expertise while assisting an important Wisconsin based initiative to invest public resources wisely.
Evaluation and scoring by reviewers will take place during November 2005. Compensation will be provided at the federal reimbursement rate. The evaluations and scoring by reviewers are advisory to the Oversight and Advisory Committee, which is responsible for making the final awards. The review process will occur during the month of November 2005. Reviewers score the proposals independently and anonymously and do not meet to discuss applications.
For more information about being a proposal reviewer, including key dates related to the review process and expectations of reviewers, contact Cathy Frey of the Wisconsin Partnership Program at (608) 265-8146 or [email protected].
