Web meeting focuses on promoting youth engagement
The Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool and Youth Development Network will hold a virtual meeting online on Friday, June 14th from 10:30am to noon on the topic, Making Everyday a Great Day in Out-of-School Time: Promoting Youth Engagement and Positive Behavior.
The goals of the webinar are to share PSAYDN’s current work and accomplishments in core areas of policy, sustainability and quality; to get input on and involvement in upcoming projects and events; and to increase participants’ knowledge about the utilization of the standards aligned system and portal in out-of-school time programs.
Featured speakers are Dr. Emilie Smith, professor, Human Development and Family Studies director/PI, LEGACY Together Project, Penn State University; Dr. Veirdre Jackson, associate project director, Montgomery Early Childhood Learning Center; and Dr. Stacie Molnar-Main, strategic initiatives manager, Center for Safe Schools.
Participants will learn about positive practices and strategies to make a safe, secure and friendly OST program environment.
