Promising Practices in Youth Civic and Political Engagement
Posted by Brandeis University on May 5, 2020
Civic engagement is at the heart of what The Segal Program, our Fellows, and our larger Network are about as citizen leaders. We emphasize the importance of civic engagement in our curriculum and our Program offerings and are inspired by the active role our Fellows take in their communities across the country and the world.
With a gift from Heller Alumna Mady Chalk (PhD ’90), we’ve expanded The Segal Program’s focus on civic and political engagement. Inaugural Chalk Research Associate Maxwell Hunsinger, a Brandeis Senior, conducted research in the summer of 2019 on “Promising Practices in Youth Civic and Political Engagement.”
The paper was shared with Fellows and is available here: https://heller.brandeis.edu/segal/about/civic-engagement.html
