Position: Project TEACH Facilitator
Reports To: Project TEACH Supervisor
Hours Weekly: 40. This is an exempt position.
Job Summary
Philadelphia FIGHTis a comprehensive AIDS service organization providing state of the art, culturally competent, HIV primary care, and opportunities for clinical research, social services, consumer education, and outreach to people living with HIV and those at high risk. Our goal is to end the AIDS epidemic within the lifetime of people living with HIV now. This position is in FIGHT’s Education Department and works in our Project TEACH program, our signature 8 week education program for people living with HIV and covers a wide range of treatment, advocacy, and psychosocial topics.
The Project TEACH Facilitator will be responsible for coordinating and being the Lead Instructor for two 8 week Project TEACH classes each year, and one Frontline TEACH Class per year. Frontline TEACH is a four week program, modeled after the TEACH Class, for people who are HIV negative but are affected by the virus, either as caretakers, family or friends, or service providers to HIV positive individuals. The Project TEACH Facilitator will also be responsible for TEACH alumni programming for graduates of Project TEACH.
