Project SCORE: Offering Workshop
Posted by on August 1, 2003
In our continued commitment to helping build the capacity of the region?s nonprofits, The Philadelphia Foundation would like to introduce a new partnership with Temple University?s Center for Social Policy and Community Development.
Temple University?s Center for Social Policy and Community Development is offering a unique series of workshops called Project SCORE (Supporting Community Organizations through Research & Evaluation). These workshops are designed to meet the program evaluation needs of community and faith-based organizations in Philadelphia.
These workshops could be helpful to your organization if it is a community or faith-based organization seeking to:
?Learn how to conduct program evaluations
?Learn best practices for conducting program evaluations in its organizational setting
?Design and implement evaluation plans and assessment instruments
?Use program evaluations to improve services for its clients
?Increase its ability to strategically plan for the future
?Document program achievements/outcomes to secure future funding
If you are interested in the above-listed topics, for a fee of $50, two staff members from your organization can attend a series of seven workshop sessions. These sessions will be customized to meet the evaluation needs of participant organizations. In addition, each participating organization will develop an evaluation instrument it can use in its workplace setting.
