The District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund and the SEIU Healthcare PA Education & Training Fund, their affiliated labor unions, and the Pennsylvania Health Care Association – the voice of our Commonwealth’s long-term care, assisted living, and personal care employers – have come together to develop a mutually-beneficial solution to the COVID-19 direct care workforce crisis. The 1199C and SEIU Training Funds will partner with PHCA to provide effective, high-quality, career pathway-based occupational training and certification to 1,000 Pennsylvanians between January 2021 and September 2022. Training implementation will be focused in, but not limited to, the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh metropolitan regions.
This is a full-time, grant-funded position, supported by funds awarded to the 1199C Training Fund by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, reporting to the 1199C Training Fund’s Executive Director.
The 1199C Training Fund takes the COVID-19 pandemic seriously. All work conditions described in this posting are subject to alteration in order to ensure the safety of everyone involved in this project.
