Project Manager for Commuter Options Vanpool Project

The Philadelphia Unemployment Project is hiring a Project Manager for its Reverse Commute project, Commuter Options. Commuter Options is a state and federally funded project that provides mini-vans to inner city residents to vanpool to suburban jobs. This position is for overall management of the project under supervision of PUP?s Director.

Duties include:
General Project Management:
Work with Office Manager and Director to develop and follow budget
Monitor actual minivan use using tracking system

Maintain relationships with:
Federal Transit Administration
County TMAs
Vanpool drivers
Employers
Job development entities (EARN Centers, etc)

Fleet Management:
Maintain relationships with Leasing companies
Schedule service on vehicles
Accident response
Continue to develop vehicle acquisition strategy
Manage work of fleet assistant
Develop driver training course

Project Development
Work with Project Developer to develop new pools
create and apply PUPCO policy in dealing with stakeholders
network to reach executives with suburban employers
Promotion of project accomplishments

Work with Director and grant writer to solicit grants for from government and foundations

Solidify relationship with SEPTA?s planning and JARC departments

Build regional support for van pooling
Qualifications- BA preferred, 3 years Experience in Human Services or Transportation management required, tolerant people oriented person needed.

Salary contingent on experience, excellent benefits, liberal vacation and holiday policy, fully paid health insurance including eye glasses and dental, health center reimbursement, 403 (b) pension plan.
