Resources for Human Development (RHD) http://www.rhd.org is a national non-profit/for-profit corporation. This position will support the Executive Director on a wide variety of organizational initiatives including those relating to social improvement of marginalized, underserved populations (the 99%).

RHD is a 41 year old organization operating in 14 states. Applicants should first read material on RHD’s web site and related sub-sites to understand corporate values and breadth of current activities.

Project Manager and Assistant will report to the Executive Director and others to:

Assess economic feasibility of non-profit/for-profit initiatives, including researching the availability for governmental or private sector funding.
Develop and manage effective relationships and communication strategies with government institutions, peer agencies and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with Executive Director and other RHD staff to inform and engage working groups in planning and execution.
Produce written communications including position papers; draft proposals; concept papers, etc.

Requirements:

Ten years’ experience in developing and managing corporate/group activities.
A commitment and demonstrated enthusiasm for addressing “social justice” issues.
Demonstrated capacity to work in RHD’s style of values-based entrepreneurial organization.
Knowledge of and applications to funding sources at Federal; State; local government and private levels.

Additional Capacities:

Experience with and knowledge of social entrepreneurship.

Proven ability to research, identify and secure previously untapped sources of funding.

Appropriate candidates will have ten years of personal experience following education. Experience should demonstrate ability to take a project, with a group, from concept to reality.
