The Franklin Institute is currently seeking for The Project Lead, Exhibits and Experiences. This position is expected to assist in the management of the process and outcomes of the Master Planning process engaging both internal and external stakeholders. Working with the AVP of Experiences and New Business Development, The Project Lead, Exhibits and Experiences must manage the development and design of museum experiences from initial concept and narrative development, into a phased design development process, to the oversight of fabrication and final installation. Must assist in the management of partnerships with for-profit traveling exhibition companies in the creation of new special exhibitions as well as exhibit design.

BA or BS required. Minimum 7 years experience developing and managing exhibition projects through design, production, and implementation. Creative big thinker who has proven project management skills. Experience reading architectural plans a must. Strong visual communication skills and excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. Strong project and staff management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet schedules and deadlines and to keep team members on task. Solid diplomacy skills, the ability to work across department lines and the ability to create collaborative, goal-driven relationships. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and pacing. Expert skill level in either Vector Works, AutoCAD and/or Sketchup are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, File Maker Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud are expected. For exhibit design, must be able to sketch rough concepts, develop and articulate design guidelines, have knowledge of ADA compliance, and graphic hierarchies, and supply imaginative, cost effective solutions for exhibition design.

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 8:45 am- 5:15 pm.
