Project Forward Leap hosts open house
Project Forward Leap will host an Open Day on Friday, July 30th.
Project Forward Leap is an educational enrichment program for at-risk students who have been identified with potential in middle school and ensures they graduate high school seven years later. The program consists of four years of academically rigorous residential summer institutes on college campuses backed with Saturday school-year programming including workshops for parents, followed by a three year high school program which includes, tutoring, mentoring and working internships.
At the open day, the students will present their new Problem Based Learning Project Roller Coaster: Isaac Newton or Not? The project examines how to design a roller coaster that defies the laws of gravity using Newton’s Laws. Those who attend will have the opportunity to talk to students, site staff and educators. The event will take place from 9:15-10:30am.
