Project Director, Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program

The University of Pennsylvania seeks a highly qualified candidate to provide leadership for an exciting program designed to identify promising young scholars and motivate them to view attainment of a Ph.D. and a career in academia as viable goals. The McNair Director, a grant-funded position, will be responsible for the recruitment, selection, and tracking of students; program planning, implementation, and evaluation; faculty research mentor recruitment; and graduate school admissions guidance. The McNair Director will also be responsible for the administration of a federally funded grant, which includes budget management, supervision, performance reporting, and compliance with agency regulations.

Candidates should have at least two years of doctoral study and three to five years of professional experience, preferably in higher education. Strong leadership, organization, communication, information management, and budgeting skills required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
