Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia, Inc. is hiring a Project Development Associate. The Project Development Associate will support the Project Planning and Construction teams as it relates to HFHP’s mission to ensure all Philadelphians live in safe, affordable homes. This position will support the Director of Project Planning throughout the predevelopment and construction of HFHP housing development and will interact with the HFHP Build Committee.
Responsibilities related to this position include but may not be limited to:
- Assist the Director of Project Planning with the preparation of documents needed for site control and acquisition, financing, design development, permitting and construction for all housing developments.
- Complete and submit tax abatement applications.
- Receive and prepare invoices for supervisor review.
- Periodically update reports tracking project and department spending.
- Assist in the preparation of requests for proposals for contractors.
- Identify and contact potential contractors to grow HFHP contractor pool, with a focus on MBE/DBE/WBE/DSBE entities and participation.
- Assist with contractor screening, contracting, and onboarding.
- Prepare and submit monthly business utilization reports documenting project spending related to MBE/WBE/DBE contracts.
- Work with the Habitat BUILD Department to coordinate gift-in-kind orders from the Habitat for Humanity International product portal.
- Review construction meeting minutes and track open items.
- Work as needed with HFHP’s Director of Strategic Partnerships to communicate development plans and activities to neighborhood residents where HFHP will be building housing.
- Regular meetings with the Director of Project Planning, HFHP Programs Team, and HFHP Build Committee.
