Project Coordinator: National Community-Based Research Networking Initiative

Princeton University is seeking a Project Coordinator for the National Community-Based Research (CBR) Networking Initiative. This administrative position will support a three-year, Learn & Serve America-funded initiative to promote high-quality community-based research at colleges and universities nationwide. The project aims to create national networking structures to assist and connect CBR practitioners by:
– Supporting the institutionalization of CBR at 20 subgrantee campuses
– Promoting innovation in CBR at 11 additional subgrantee campuses
– Assessing the impact of CBR on students, faculty, campuses, and communities
– Documenting best practices and developing trainings, resources, and evaluative tools to support CBR
The Project Coordinator will be instrumental in achieving the initiative?s goals as they support the planning, administration, and documentation of grant-related activities. Working with the staff of Princeton?s Community-Based Learning Initiative (CBLI) and reporting to the Assistant Director of CBLI, the Project Coordinator will:
– Support subgrantees, maintaining regular communication with subgrantee campuses.
– Administer grant finances and track grant funds.
– Collect, develop, and share resources related to community-based research.
– Plan and manage grant-related projects and events.
– Maintain up-to-date content for websites and listserv for CBLI program and National CBR Networking Initiative.
– Travel to project-related meetings.
Requirements
– Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and a high degree of professionalism and initiative.
– Ability to work independently and function effectively as part of a team.
– Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and using web browsers and e-mail; ability to learn other University systems.
– Excellent written and oral communication skills.
– Strong attention to detail; accuracy, flexibility and demonstrated ability to be pro-active and to prioritize tasks.
– Ability to handle varied multiple and competing priorities.
-A bachelor?s degree and relevant practical experience in project management, higher education administration, and/or non-profit management.
Experience with and enthusiasm for community-based research, nonprofit work, or service-learning is highly desired. This is a two-year term position.
