Project Advisor, New Media Technology Charter School

New Media Technology Charter School is now seeking to hire project advisors (teachers) who have a passion for interdisciplinary project-based learning. Applicants must have an interest in working with high school youth. If you are inspired by the idea of learning alongside students, by experiencing the world in a project-based context, and by helping to create a school that invites students and professionals to immerse themselves in life, then consider joining the New Media Technology Charter School team. Qualifications include the following: Bachelor?s Degree required; candidates with experience or interest in project-based education and in creating a dynamic, progressive learning environment are encouraged to apply; teaching experience using both traditional and experiential instructional strategies is preferred; solid organizational skill; experience in program development or curriculum writing is a plus; experience working with teenagers in an educational environment; experience working with teenagers and parents from diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds; excellent listener and communicator with strong values and decision-making skills; demonstrated ability to nurture relationships with students, parents, co-workers, donors, consultants, and others; strong computer skills; and experience or secondary certification in any of the following areas is preferred: mathematics, science, computer technology, or language arts.
