Fit for Life Foundation invites applications for programs to promote healthy aging
The Fit for Life Foundation based in Geneva, Switzerland, supports healthy aging and independent mobility of older people in rapidly aging societies worldwide.
Each year, the foundation awards grants of €100,000 ($109,000) each to three or four nonprofit organizations or social enterprises that are pioneering projects to promote healthy aging around the world. The awards provide multiyear support and international visibility to innovative, impactful projects promoting lifelong fitness and health in aging societies worldwide. Grants are disbursed over three years.
The mission and activities of the organization or initiative must directly address healthy aging for older (65+ years) or middle-aged people (45+ years). These may include solutions relevant to physical fitness, mental health and well-being, exercise and sport, mobility, nutrition, at-home care, community support for older people, prevention of non-communicable diseases, and other forms of preventative health support.
To be eligible, the organization or initiative must be legally registered as a nonprofit or social enterprise in its country/countries of operations.
Applications are welcomed from organizations all around the world.
