WITH Foundation invites applications for programs serving adults with disabilities
The mission of the WITH Foundation is to promote the establishment of comprehensive health care for adults with developmental disabilities that is designed to address their unique and fundamental needs.
The foundation awards grants of up to $150,000 in support of programs that improve the delivery of health care to adult consumers with developmental disabilities, including at least one of the following: improve health practitioner competency through education and/or training programs; address the current inadequate reimbursement system; advance innovations in formal care coordination; enhance advocacy regarding the inadequacies of developmentally disabled care to advance systemic change; increase understanding of supported decision-making in healthcare settings; advance national efforts in digital health that support designers and developers to include the perspectives/experiences of the IDD community within the design process to create better technology for all; conduct social policy research; and identify and overcome barriers to high-quality healthcare access.
Recognizing the pivotal role research plays in propelling positive change in the realm of disability health care, research-focused grants can be up to $250,000. Grants from WITH typically provide one year of support but may cover as much as three years for programming that warrants extended funding.
Applicants must have tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. While San Francisco Bay Area applications may be given preference, any project that falls within the foundation’s guidelines is of interest and eligible for possible funding.
Letters of intent are due December 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PT, and selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal due January 29, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PT.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the WITH Foundation website.
Deadline: December 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. PT (Letters of Intent)
