In addition to its roster of free classes, Fleisher offers tuition bearing workshops, operates a year-round exhibits program including the prestigious Wind Challenge Exhibition Series, and provides art instruction to young people in Philadelphia’s public schools through its Community Partnership in the Arts (CPA) programs well as through its Saturday youth arts program. Job Description
Art education and community engagement are at the core of Fleisher Art Memorial’s long-term goals. The Programs Associate plays a key role in supporting program functions, including onsite Adult and Children and Youth classes, offsite programming through Color Wheels, exhibitions(as needed), managing tuition assistance and providing general administrative support for the Director of Programs. The Programs Associate serves as liaison to the broader South Philadelphia community, and is at active in neighborhood meetings and associated projects. This position requires flexible hours during seasonally busy periods, such as March-November when Color Wheels is active and at the start and end of school terms.

Skills and Qualifications
Minimum three years’ experience with proven track record in administrative support and/or program coordination in a non-profit organization and volunteer management.
Superb writing and verbal skills. Strong administrative skills. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with constituent management database software. Ability to communicate thoughtfully and clearly with audiences of diverse ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities. Fluency in a second language preferred, especially in Spanish, Chinese or Khmer. Deep commitment to community outreach and arts education.
