The African Family Health Organization (AFAHO provides health, human and educational services and programs to the African and Caribbean immigrant and refugee communities in the greater Philadelphia area. These services include a variety health education, case management, and psychosocial wellness programs which are available to the community regardless of age, nationality, language ability, or legal status.
Summary of Position:
AFAHO has experienced tremendous growth and this growth has led to higher numbers of participants, more intensive monitoring and documentation, and larger administrative roles to support the programs’ functionality. The organization is in search of a technologically savvy, multi–tasking and well–organized Program Assistant to provide miscellaneous programmatic and administrative support across AFAHO’s Health, Social, and Education programs as well as some internal operations. The successful candidate will be a self–motivated team player who is passionate about improving the health, educational outcomes and self–sufficiency status of greater Philadelphia’s African and Caribbean immigrant and refugee communities. They will have the ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding work environment. The program assistant will be expected to handle sensitive and confidential client information and situations with integrity and professionalism.
