PhillyCAM provides transformative opportunities for people and communities to express themselves, learn from each other, and produce and share media reflective of the experiences of everyday people. Founded in 2007, PhillyCAM is the non-profit designated by the City of Philadelphia to operate its public access television network.

The Programming Coordinator oversees the intake and distribution of media content for presentations on PhillyCAM’s non-commercial cable channel and other platforms. Responsibilities include media management, creation of internal and promotional media such as station IDs, interstitials, and oversight of the delivery of several recurring month programs. Supports the cable channel’s curation, archiving media content, collecting data, and reporting analytics. Assists staff, interns, and community producers with media submissions.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist with file delivery and media management. Support archiving of media.
  • Support curation of broadcast schedule.
  • Coordinate scheduling and playback of LIVE programming
  • Coordinate production and delivery of monthly program spotlights, quarterly marathon spots, annual Year in Review video, periodic highlight reels and instructional videos with production staff and interns.
  • Create TV interstitials, station ID’s, schedule on air overlays.
  • Manage Video On Demand and curate on demand playlists.
  • Maintain and update Electronic Bulletin Board.
  • Track and report TV/Radio/Streaming analytics.
  • Monitor channels, troubleshoot programming issues.
  • Assist Production Services, interns and members with program delivery.
