Description:
Organization: APM is a Latino based health, human services and community development organization that assists families in achieving their full potential life. APM was established in 1970. It seeks to expand its role as a leader in the fields of health, human services and community economic development through a network of comprehensive services in housing, education, health care and human services thereby building strong families and healthy communities.
Background: The Sustainable Communities Program (SCP) is a long-term comprehensive community development initiative supported by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) that aims to support the implementation of locally-driven quality-of-life plans in targeted Philadelphia communities. APM is the lead agency for Eastern North Philadelphia.
Position: The SCP Outreach Coordinator shall be under the direct supervision of the Deputy Vice President of Program Services and a skilled staff member who will be responsible for the community organizing and outreach efforts as part of a comprehensive planning process in APM’s Community Economic Development target area. This staff member will carry-out outreach, organizing and research efforts in coordination with the Deputy Vice President of Services to assist in the development and implementation of a quality-of -life plan for the APM target community. The staff member also serves as a project manager on any number of related projects and supports the communication strategy for the local program.
