Program Manager, Training & Capacity Building, PHMC

Posted by Public Health Management Corporation on November 2, 2021

Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) is proud to be a leader in public health. PHMC requires that all employees have received the first Covid-19 vaccination dose by the first day of employment. We will offer the Covid-19 vaccination at no cost, via our Health Centers.

The Program Manager in the Training & Capacity Building (TCAP) department is a full-time position responsible for implementing strategies and activities related to chronic disease management and prevention initiatives as a part of the TCAP team. The work of the TCAP department involves direct program service delivery to consumers; providing technical assistance and capacity-building to other organizations locally, regionally and statewide; advocating for policies and systems to support sustainability, access and utilization of programs and services across the Commonwealth.

While TCAP’s work spans multiple grants and contracts, it also aims to increase the diversity of funding streams and contribute to the growth, visibility and thought leadership of HPC within the division of Health Promotion Services at Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC). The TCAP Program Manager must be able to supervise new and experienced program coordinators and other assigned team members and interns, as well as manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously and in a timely fashion. The Program Manager is expected to increase community-clinical connections among a variety of partners from independent practitioners and entrepreneurs; community-based organizations; as well as health systems and health care providers; and  local and national professional, governmental and advocacy organizations. As with all positions, the TCAP Program Manager role is contingent upon funding. The Program Manager will report to the Director of Training and Capacity Building.
