Open Position: LIFT-Philadelphia Program Manager

LIFT-Philadelphia is looking for a dynamic, talented leader to serve as Program Manager.  Supervising the operations of LIFT-Philadelphia’s two local sites, the Program Manager will directly manage all program delivery and client services and will supervise six AmeriCorps program team members. The Program Manager will also work with LIFT-Philadelphia’s Executive Director and outreach team to create and strengthen partnerships with a diverse array of stakeholders including social service providers, university partners and government agencies. The Program Manager will set ambitious goals for LIFT’s impact and will lead performance evaluation at the site level. The position reports to LIFT-Philadelphia’s Executive Director.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Program and Site Leadership

·         Provide management, support, training, and direction to LIFT-Philadelphia Site Coordinators with special attention to client service quality and local volunteer management, training, and service delivery

·         Provide intensive oversight and consultation on all client service and program delivery

·         Lead the development, implementation, and review of training sessions and training resource materials

·         Work with site team to set ambitious annual goals in line with LIFT-Philadelphia’s strategic growth plan and drive superior performance against these goals

·         Implement and maintain appropriate operational infrastructure and procedures with the support of the Executive Director and LIFT’s national office

·         Oversee reporting functions of the sites and compile regular status reports

·         Ensure safety and security policies are consistently implemented and followed

External Relations and Partnership Development

·         Support program team to build and strengthen relationships with local colleges and universities to advance volunteer recruitment efforts

·         Establish and strengthen partnerships with key community agencies and organizations

·         Represent LIFT-Philadelphia to increase visibility and enhance programming in the region

Requirements:

·         Commitment to LIFT’s mission and core values

·         Masters in Social Work, Counseling, or associated field; licensure in social work (LSW,) or counseling (LPC) is preferred

·         Experience and cultural competency in working with vulnerable communities and high-risk populations

·         Experience as a manager and administrator in a direct service or clinical environment

·         Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization, including flexibility, creativity, and initiative

·         Willingness to work occasional weekends or evenings (trainings or events)

Compensation and Start Date:

Competitive salary commensurate with experience, as well as excellent health care benefits, generous leave policy, retirement plan with match after one year, and a supportive and engaging work environment.  Start date is flexible, but target is December, 2011.
