The Program Manager oversees financial education and counseling programs that create hope by helping people identify and secure the most important assets in their lives. The manager facilitates and supports the effective operations of Clarifi programs, especially the financial coaching and boot camp programs. Primary activities will include volunteer management, client engagement, event coordination and data collection and tracking. The Program Manager will also support the implementation of additional programs and processes that allow Clarifi to improve, expand, or enhance its ability to serve clients who seek financial stability.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Strong organizational and time management skills required to balance tasks needed to complete concurrent projects
- Passion for and commitment to social service, especially to low income and financially distressed individuals and communities
- Broad knowledge of consumer finance including credit profile, borrowing, and payment methods
- Excellent computer literacy across web based applications and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible and non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as required to promote client engagement in programs
- College degree or a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience required.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Program Management
- Financial Coaching and Boot Camps
- Meet all deliverables as assigned by funders and foundations for financial coaching and boot camps
- Schedule boot camp events and manage all event logistics
- Coordinate and lead financial education sessions for boot camp participants
- Identify boot camp themes, consult on marketing strategies, recruit and screen appropriate clients for program
- Track outcomes and provide reports detailing activities and impact
- Coordinate the Financial Coaching Advisory Board
- Serve as primary contact for boot camp and financial coaching funders and partners
- Foster the creative expansion of the financial coaching and boot camp programs
Volunteers
- Serve as primary contact for all volunteers and manage recruiting and training as needed
- Coordinate with corporate volunteer contacts
- Maintain accurate volunteer records in Salesforce
- Conceptualize and execute volunteer recognition and retention activities
Other Programs
- Input and track data
- Create reports and present program outcomes
- Manage external relationships and represent Clarifi with partners and stakeholders
- Contribute to new program development and ideation
- Build professional relationships with community partners, financial institution and government agencies to increase effectiveness of partnerships
Client Support
- At all times prioritize client experience and success
- Increase opportunities for clients to use different Clarifi services, specifically by creating and implementing communications plans that will allow education clients to more easily access one-on-one counseling services
- Build and maintain relationships with clients by demonstrating empathy, providing exceptional service and actionable information appropriate to situation
- Contact individuals referred to Clarifi programs to emphasize program value and begin intake process as appropriate
Data Quality
- Maintaining accurate client and volunteer information in information systems, internal and external to the agency
- Perform program related data entry with minimal errors
- Identify and implement process changes to streamline data management efforts
- Share client and program information with community partners through appropriate mechanisms to ensure privacy and advance client service and program evaluation
- Generate reports, narratives and other documentation to show progress of clients
Administration
- Perform administrative functions required to support successful program delivery
- Maintain calendar of important dates and make stakeholders aware of deadlines
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance with flexible work schedule including evening and weekend hours and locations
- Compose correspondence and presentations with proper spelling, grammar and articulation
- Develop infrastructure, internal communications materials and processes that will lead to more consistent and efficient delivery of programs and services to clients
- Perform special projects and/or assignments as directed by management
