Reports to: Juliet Fink Yates, Director of Education, Education Department

Philadelphia FIGHT is an AIDS Service Organization that recently became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Our goal is to end the AIDS epidemic within the lifetime of people living with HIV now. This position is in FIGHT’s Education Department, which offers a wide range of educational, psychosocial, and risk-reduction programming for youth and adults living with HIV and those at high risk.

The Project TEACH Program Director is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Philadelphia FIGHT’s signature education program for people living with HIV, Project TEACH, and its ancillary programs, the TEACH Alumni group, Peer Education, and a Peer Mentoring program. Project TEACH is an 8 week class that is taught 4-5 times per year, and covers a wide range of treatment, advocacy, and psychosocial topics. The Project TEACH Program Director also manages broader development of the TEACH program, including the development and implementation of specialized classes targeting specific populations as well as other opportunities to promote expansion of TEACH in the greater HIV and AIDS Service Community.

The Project TEACH Program Director is also responsible for supporting coordination of the Prevention and Outreach Summit during AIDS Education Month, and related office operations including proper collection of data, and reporting outcomes. The Project TEACH Program Director represents Philadelphia FIGHT both on site and in the community, in a courteous, efficient manner that reflects the high level of integrity and customer service mandated by Philadelphia FIGHT.
