Program Director, Oxford Circle Christian Community Development Association

Based in the Oxford Circle neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA, the Oxford Circle Christian Community Development Association (OCCCDA) is seeking a Program Director. The mission of OCCCDA is “to extend healing and hope in the Oxford Circle community, believing that God’s purpose of reconciling all people to Jesus leads us to minister on spiritual, physical, social & economic levels.” The Program Director is responsible for demonstrating the vision and mission of OCCCDA to staff, interns, volunteers and the larger community.  The Program Director is responsible for planning and implementing programs, developing program budgets, and assisting with fundraising to meet those budgets.  The Program Director will work closely with staff, volunteers and interns to nurture both physical and spiritual well-being. Salary is commensurate with experience @ 25 hours per week.  Includes some evenings and weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Planning and Implementation (50%)
•    Develop and implement existing programs and staff.
•    Develop and implement all guidelines and policies with the purpose of ensuring compliance with funding as well as maintaining alignment with organization’s mission.
•    Monitor program effectiveness and ensure program objectives are met.
•    Report to board program committee and assist with recruitment of committee members.
•    Work with Executive Director to create new programs and partnerships to meet community needs as part of ongoing strategic planning and development.
Community Outreach (25%)
•    Serve as the face of the programs to constituents and larger community.
•    Build program partnerships with community, city, state and federal stakeholders.
•    Engage community representatives and residents in strategic planning and program development.
Responsible for budgeting and financial planning for programs (25%)
•    Work with Executive Director to develop and maintain program budgets.
•    Work with Executive Director to secure funds, donations and grants.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
    A committed, practicing believer in Jesus Christ and active member of a Christian congregation.
    A commitment to the Oxford Circle community and the holistic vision of the OCCCDA.
    Working knowledge of all applicable computer software including social media, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
    Excellent written and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse group of staff, funders and partnering agency personnel.
    Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.
    Able to take initiative as a leader and team player.
    Master’s Degree in social services or related field with 3 years experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
