JOB TITLE: PROGRAM DIRECTOR
POSITION SUMMARY
The Mt. Airy Community Computer Center (MACCC) seeks a Program Director who will be responsible for the programs and operations of its community technology center which currently serves the Northwest Philadelphia region. MACCC is dedicated to providing convenient, affordable access to computers and the Internet to help close the digital divide for our community?s most vulnerable populations – low-income children, seniors and people recently released from prison and their families.
The Program Director must be a highly motivated self-starter and visionary who will work closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement the operations and expansion of MACCC. MACCC is a small, yet thriving non-profit looking for an individual who can make an immediate impact on our organization and the community and who can help grow the organization to serve a larger number of people in our area.
Responsibilities include:
? Assist in the design and development of programs and services and lead the implementation and evaluation of all programs, including expanding Center programs to new areas
? Develop and manage relationships with existing and future community partners
? Gather, develop, and organize curriculum for all computer classes
? Teach classes in demonstrated areas of proficiency
? Work closely with the Executive Director to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operations of programs, technical services and outreach
? Manage and oversee technical support and services
? Coordinate public relations activities and special events
QUALIFICATIONS
? College degree or equivalent experience related to computer technology
? Experience in program development, implementation and evaluation
? Strong organizational skills
? Proven success working for a community-based non-profit organization
? Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals/stakeholder groups
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This is a 20-30 hours/week position, starting immediately. Hours are flexible, with some nights and weekends necessary. Salary depends on qualifications and experience. Health benefit is negotiable.
