Program Director, Maternity Care Coalition
Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is a dynamic nonprofit that works to improve maternal and child health and well-being through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers and communities.
MCC is seeking a Program Director to provide administrative and clinical oversight to the Safe Start MOMobile Program. Safe Start, a collaboration between Merck for Mothers and MCC, is an innovative approach to addressing maternal mortality in Philadelphia. The Safe Start MOMobile Program will provide pregnant women with chronic health conditions critical support through home visiting, patient navigation and doula services and will empower women to improve their overall health outcomes. The Program Director is responsible for the implementation of the Safe Start Program through oversight of all project activities and outcomes. The Director ensures the delivery of quality services, is responsible for training and supervision of all Safe Start staff and is the liaison to community agencies, social service and medical providers.
Qualified candidates will have experience in maternal and child health, demonstrated health literacy and strong leadership skills; experience in program planning and monitoring; and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience strongly preferred. Valid driver’s license and a Master’s degree in social work, public health, nursing or related field required.
