Program Director Position Description and Core Competencies
A Chance to Heal (ACTH) is a growing non-profit organization in the Philadelphia region committed to preventing the incidence and reducing the impact of eating disorders through education and outreach programs aimed at parents, young people, educators and healthcare professionals. ACTH is seeking a dynamic, part-time (25 hrs/wk) Program Director to work closely with the board and staff in realizing the organization’s long-term vision.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Program Director of A Chance To Heal (ACTH) is responsible for the comprehensive management of all the programs, program partners and program personnel of the organization.
Core Responsibilities:
* Accountable for all program development, implementation, quality and evaluation.
* Oversee all relationship development activities with community partners.
* Accountable for the recruitment, qualifications (credentialing) and management and of all professionals facilitating ACTH’s programs.
* Liaise, interpret and adopt recommendations from the Professional Advisory Council, on best practices, new trends in program innovation and emerging research.
* Benchmarking of ACTH programs against best practices in program design, implementation and evaluation.
Professional Experience
* A minimum of 3-5 years experience in health care and/or health education preferred.
* Strong Interest in the field of Eating Disorders, Women’s Health, or related issues
* Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating programs or events.
* Experience facilitating professional presentations.
Management Experience
* Ability to write and/or report on program grants preferred.
* Ability to recruit, train, evaluate and manage facilitators and staff.
* Comfortable in a coaching, mentoring or supervisory role.
* Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with volunteers.
* Demonstrated capacity to create strategic alliances with community partners.

* Maintenance of existing and development of prospective partnerships 25%

* Hiring, managing and training facilitators 20%
* Material creation and development 15%
* Public Speaking and professional presentations 10%
* Development and management of program evaluation process 5%
* Occasional weekend and evening work required
* Starting salary b/w $40-$45,000.
